An article on Monday morning by USA Today about the naming of the Atlanta Falcons’ next head coach revealed that it would be a name that would have a long history.
The name is alesis, which means “electron configuration.”
The name was first used in 1999 by the University of Tennessee, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, which said that the name came from a meeting of the Tennessee Tech League.
The name was used in 1997 by the Atlanta Silver Hawks, the paper reported.
