A 3D-printed chess board can be built with ease, with no special tools or expertise required, and a single user can play the game online.
The idea for the electronic chess system was first spotted by user @TK_sir_sarah on Twitter, who uploaded a video demonstrating the process.
“I’ve always loved chess but never really built one,” she said in the video.
“So when I stumbled across this DIY project, I was like, this is what I need to do.”
What I came up with was a board that I printed using a MakerBot Replicator 2.
“It was an easy task, Ms Smith said.”
It’s not hard to build a chess board from parts you already have.
All you need is a 3D Printer.
You just need to add an electronic board.
“To make it, you just need a Makerbot Replicator2 and a few parts: a chess piece, a set of magnets, some wire, a piece of glue, a soldering iron and some wires.”
You just take a piece and drill holes for the magnets, and just solder them into place,” Ms Smith told news.com “So you just solder a wire into the hole you drilled and it’s all set.””
It doesn’t require much work to build, so you can play it on the go,” she added.
Ms Smith is an avid gamer and chess enthusiast, and said she was inspired by the games of Grandmaster Sergei Karpov and Hikaru Nakamura.”
This is what we need to build this digital chess board for our lives, for our careers, for family and friends and family and work,” Ms Thompson said. “
The more I built it, the more I liked it, so I thought I’d share it with the world.”
“This is what we need to build this digital chess board for our lives, for our careers, for family and friends and family and work,” Ms Thompson said.
“I hope that it inspires everyone to build their own digital chess boards.”
A game for everyoneTo make the board, you need a computer to make the circuit board.
A 3d printer is needed to make it a reality, with 3D printers costing about $1,000.
A MakerBot Mini can build the chess board using just about $20.
You can find a full tutorial on how to make your own electronic chessboard on YouTube, with instructions for making the board in about a minute.
You can buy the board from an electronics store for $50.
It will cost about $3,000 to build your own digital electronic chessboards for yourself.
