Amazon., a maker of computer chips, on Thursday posted results of its benchmark chips testing, which are likely to be a key factor in Amazon’s sales outlook.
Amazon’s chips are used in consumer electronics including smartphones, televisions, gaming consoles and more.
The company has been working to develop its own processors to rival Intel, which has made chips for years.
Chipmaker Intel Corp. is already using some of Amazon’s chips in its own products, such as its Kindle e-reader.
The chipmaker has been testing a chip in Amazon Prime’s new line of e-readers called the Kindle Fire.
